These templates and kits are some of my favourite types of digital products as the opportunities are endless and it’s easy to stand out by creating unique designs for specific niches.

It’s also easy to add recurring revenue through subscriptions by releasing new templates or components on a regular basis.

🔥 Strategy:

Here’s what I would do if I were starting a business like this.

Step 1: First, define your target audience. In this case, I want to target people looking to make money with web design.

Step 2: Then create templates and sections tailored to specific niches.

For example, make templates for dentists, gardeners, electricians, plumbers, accountants, etc.

You can either do this yourself with tools like Framer, Figma, Webflow, GoHighLevel, Perspective, etc - or pay someone to do it for you.

You can also use tools like Lovable, Bolt or Cursor to build the landing pages using AI - from there you can use the HTML to Figma plugin to turn those into editable Figma templates.

Step 3: Start a free newsletter using Beehiiv or Kit educating people on how to start making money with web design.

The newsletter would educate them on how to get clients, how to pitch, how to cold email, how to brand themselves, what tools they should use, new developments (such as AI landing pages) and so on.

Step 4: Start a YouTube channel similar to this guy, doing the same thing as the newsletter - educating people on how to make money selling websites to local businesses.

Step 5: Then upsell them to the templates they can use to easily build websites for their clients.

I would follow a similar revenue model to Framerbite where users can either buy one template or pay more for lifetime access to every template.

Why does this work?

• You’re solving a problem - getting clients and building websites

• You’re helping people make money

• You’re reducing the barrier to entry

If I were starting this today, I would definitely skip steps 1 and 2 and just buy this existing business for $1500.

Everything is already set up, you don’t need to make any templates, meaning you can just focus on the marketing.
